iScope for materials science (petrographic)
The iScope IS.1052-PLPOLRi is the binocular petrographic version of the Euromex iScope series, designed for studying materials such as minerals, metals, plastics, glass or asbestos under polarised light. It combines strain-free PLPOLRi plan objectives (5x, 10x, 20x and S50x), a graduated 160 mm rotating stage and a Bertrand lens. It works with both 3 W NeoLED Köhler transmitted light and 50 W halogen incident illumination, a very complete set-up for its category.

- Pair of EWF 10x/20 mm eyepieces: one EWF 10x/20 mm with crosshair and the other with crosshair and micrometer
- Siedentopf binocular head with 30° inclined tubes, interpupillary distance from 48 to 76 mm and dioptre adjustment on both eyepieces
- Quadruple reversed nosepiece on ball bearings
- Strain-free PLPOLRi plan objectives for polarisation 5x/0.12, 10x/0.25, 20x/0.40 and S50x/0.65, infinity corrected (IOS)
- Optics with anti-fungus and anti-reflective coating for maximum light transmission
- Graduated Ø 160 mm stage with 360° rotation and 2 clips
- Height-adjustable condenser with graduated polariser, rotatable through 360°
- Coaxial coarse and fine focusing: 200 divisions, 1 µm precision, 0.2 mm per revolution and a total travel of approx. 24 mm
- Focus stop to protect slides and objectives, with friction adjustment
- Dimmable 3 W NeoLED Köhler transmitted illumination, with internal 100-240 V power supply (CE)
- Polarisation module with 50 W 12 V halogen incident illumination, polariser filter rotatable through 360°, analyser, Bertrand lens, quartz wedge, first-order red (1L) and L/4 retardation plates, sliders with green and blue filters and with white and polariser filters
- iCare sensor: the illumination switches off automatically when the user moves away from the microscope, to save energy
- Cord storage system (CSS) at the back
- Paint with antibacterial protective coating
- Includes power cord, spare 500 mA 250 V fuse and dust cover, in a polystyrene box
